Frédéric Stévenin likes to describe himself as a wine entrepreneur. Château Vieux Maillet is the flagship of his family-owned group of Bordeaux right bank gems. He is always keen to explore every possible avenue, from land reorganisation to vineyard and cellar management, and has chosen to work with local experts.

Anthony Appollot

Anthony Appollot, vineyard general manager and occasional geek, has launched a number of innovative projects, in particular intelligent spraying and berry sorting before the vinification process. He has been supervising the vines at Château Vieux Maillet since 2011.

Bruno Lacoste

Bruno Lacoste, managing director and oenologist, takes over from Anthony at harvest time. His international experience in Brazil, Argentina and Spain has given him a thirst for learning and constant discovery. There’s no need for a consultant oenologist at Château Vieux Maillet…
